Study in Sri Lanka 
Climate: The average temperature is about 81 F (27 C). January is the coolest month, becoming especially cold in the highlands, and May is the hottest time of year. Monsoon season is between May and July, and December and January.
 
Language: Sinhalese and Tamil are the two official languages of Sri Lanka. English is fluently spoken by approximately 10% of the population, and is widely used for education, scientific and commercial purposes. Members of the Burgher community speak variant forms of Portuguese Creole and Dutch with varying proficiency, while members of the Malay community speak a form of creole Malay that is unique to the island.
 
Currency: Currency of Sri Lanka is Sri Lankan Rupee. One Sri Lankan Rupee consists of 100 cents. Coins come in the denomination 5, 10, 25 and 50 cents and Rs. 1, 2, 5 and 10. The higher value denominations are found as notes, namely Rs.10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000.

 Population: The Population in Sri Lanka was reported at 20.24 millions persons in 2009, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In 2015, Sri Lanka's Population is expected to be 20.96 millions persons. In 2009, Sri Lanka's economy share of world total GDP, adjusted by Purchasing Power Parity, was 0.14 percent.
 
Capital City:
Clombo is the largest city and former capital of Sri Lanka. It is located on the west coast of the island and adjacent to Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte, the capital.
