Study in Liechtenstein

Climate: Liechtenstein has a temperate, alpine climate, with warm, wet summers and mild winters. Average temperatures range from -1 C in January to 21 C in July. The average annual precipitation is about 1,000 mm, and is quite evenly distributed over the entire year. The climate is often modified by a warm, dry southerly wind.

Language:
The official language of Liechtenstein is German. The local German dialect is Alemannic, which is at times mistaken as a language. It belongs to a highly divergent group including Swiss German, Alsatian, and some Germans living in Baden-W rttemberg and Bavarian Swabia and Austrians living in Vorarlberg.

Currency:
The Swiss Frank has been the currency of Liechtenstein since 1920. The Swiss franc is legal tender since Liechtenstein is in a customs and monetary union with Switzerland. The 1980 treaty between Switzerland and Liechtenstein allows Liechtenstein to mint Swiss franc coins, but not to issue banknotes.

Capital City:
Vaduz is the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein and the seat of the national parliament.
