Study in Lithuania 

Climate: Lithuania's climate, which ranges between maritime and continental, is relatively mild. Average temperatures on the coast are −2.5 C in January and 16 C in July. In Vilnius the average temperatures are −6 C in January and 16 C in July. During the summer, 20 C is common during the day while 14 C is common at night; in the past, temperatures have reached as high as 30 or 35 C. Some winters can be very cold. -20 C occurs almost every winter. Winter extremes are −34 C in coastal areas and −43 C in the east of Lithuania.

Language: 
Lithuanian (lietuvių kalba) is the official state language of Lithuania and is recognized as one of the official languages of the European Union. There are about 2.96 million native Lithuanian speakers in Lithuania and about 170,000 abroad.

Currency: 
The Lithuanian Litas, denoted by LTL, is the official currency of Lithuania. The currency was first issued by the Bank of Lithuania in October 1922, but was recalled from circulation after Lithuania was annexed by the Soviet Union 18 years later.

The population of Lithuania was estimated at 3,620,800 in July of 2000 but the population is decreasing, that is the growth rate is negative (-0.29 percent). In 2000, the birth rate stood at 9.77 births per 1,000 while the death rate stood at 12.87 per 1,000

Capital City: 
Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, and its largest city, with a population of 560,190 (850,324 together with Vilnius County) as of 2010.
