Climate: Armenia has cold winters and hot summers, specially in mountainous areas.
 
Language: The Armenian language is an Indo-European language spoken by the Armenian people. It is the official language of the Republic of Armenia as well as in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
 
Currency: Currency Armenia consists of the dram. Currency Armenia has 100 subdivisions called luma. Dram if translated to English means money.

Population: The census of 1989 recorded 3.6 million people in the republic, with 96% of the population ethnic Armenian, the other 4% divided between Russians, Jews, Greeks, Assyrians, Molokons, Yesdis, Udz and Gypsies.
 
Capital City: The capital of Armenia, Yerevan, is one of the world's oldest cities. It was founded in 783 BC, several years before the founding of ancient Rome, by king Argishti the First as Erebuni, the military and administrative center of the state of Urartu.
