Zhejiang University continues to make gain in this year’s Time Higher Education World University Rankings, climbing 13 places to rank 94th in the world and fifth in the nation.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date. 13 performance indicators are calibrated to measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
“Although global rankings don’t measure everything we value, I am delighted to see the quality of the research output and our internationalization efforts being recognized in this way, “said Vice President HE Lianzhen.
We are now in the top 100 in the major university global rankings; most recently 53rd in the world in the QS world university rankings and 58th in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and 86th in the Reuters’the World’s Most Innovative Universities.
According to the table, Chinese universities are taking leaps and making strides on the global level. Tsinghua University becomes the first Asian university to break into the top 20 and 6 universities from mainland China are listed in top 100.
