As the epidemic is in remission, in accordance with the guidelines of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the University of Macau (UM) will resume classroom teaching on 15 September (Wednesday), with the current online teaching to be continued until 14 September.
Regarding arrangements for returning students, according to government guidelines, all students are required to return to their places of residence in Macao, Zhuhai, or Zhongshan 14 days ahead of the resumption of classroom teaching. UM students to reside in the residential colleges or the Postgraduate House are required to return to the campus on or before 31 August; non-residential students are required to return to their places of residence in Macao, Zhuhai, or Zhongshan on or before 31 August.
In addition, in accordance with the government’s epidemic prevention requirements, if the student or his/her co-resident visited areas other than Macao, Zhuhai, or Zhongshan after 6 August this year, he or she must take the nucleic acid test and obtain a negative result before the resumption of classroom teaching.
UM kicked off the new semester on 18 August. Due to the changed circumstances concerning the epidemic, classes have been conducted online.
