As part of M.U.S.T.’s 22nd Anniversary celebration, the Second Teacher-Student Friendly Football Match organized by the Student Consultative Committee of FHTM was successfully held in the stadium of the university (Block I) on March 20, 2022. The opponents in this game were the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management team and the Faculty of Law team. The MUST Football Club provided referee and field support. Prof. Ben K. Goh, Dean of FHTM, and Prof. Fang Quan, Dean of FL, gave speeches before the match, encouraging both sides to play with excellence. In the meanwhile, they also encouraged teachers and students to actively participate in physical exercise during the epidemic for reducing anxiety and stress.
The match started at 3:30 pm with the referee’s whistle. The FHTM team wore black jerseys and the Team FL team wore red. The whole match was friendly in a pleasant atmosphere.
After the match, the representative of the FHTM, Grace Gui, and the President of the Student`s Union of FL, Wang Yi Fan, distributed special cookies made by FHTM to both teams and the staff as a souvenir. All participants expressed that the football match not only strengthened their physique but also showed the vitality and sportsmanship of M.U.S.T. students. This football match has built a platform for mutual exchange between both faculties, and established a foundation for future cooperation. The Faculty of Law also expressed its gratitude to the Student Consultative Committee of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the organizer of the competition, and hoped that there would be more opportunities for cooperation in the future.
