Study in Denmark 

Climate: Denmark has a mild climate with no extremes of heat or cold. In the light summer months of June to August, the average daytime temperature is 66?F (19?C) and in the coldest month of February the average is 34?F (1?C). Being a coastal country Denmark can be rather wet and windy.

Danish is a North Germanic language spoken by around six million people, principally in the country of Denmark. It is also spoken by 50,000 Germans of Danish ethnicity in the northern parts of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, where it holds the status of minority language.

The Danish krone, also denoted by DKK, is the currency used in Denmark and the Danish dependency of Greenland. The krone, subdivided into 100 ore, is closely pegged to the euro. Prior to the introduction of the euro, the DKK was pegged to the German Mark.


The population of Denmark in 2003 was estimated by the United Nations at 5,364,000, which placed it as number 107 in population among the 193 nations of the world.

Copenhagen is the capital and largest city of Denmark, with an urban population of 1,199,224 (2011) and a metropolitan population of 1,914,865 (2011). Copenhagen is situated on the islands of Zealand and Amager.
